Welcome to the 18th Edition of inivos Spotlight!

November was a dynamic month, one filled with meaningful partnerships, academic engagements, thought leadership, and inspiring encounters with the next generation of Sri Lankan tech talent. Here’s what made our month special:

  • inivos at the SLIIT Industry Consultative Board Meeting
  • Celebrating Young Innovators at Robofest 2025
  • Spotlight Insight: Industry 5.0 - The Next Big Leap
  • Beyond Outsourcing: Why Integration Matters More

Inivos at the SLIIT Industry Consultative Board Meeting

We kicked off the month with a valuable opportunity for industry–academia collaboration.
Our Chief Operating Officer, Kasun Fonseka, represented inivos Technology at the Industry Consultative Board Meeting hosted by the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at SLIIT. The discussion centered around one of the industry's most pressing needs: bridging the gap between academic training and real-world industry requirements.

Kasun shared insights from inivos’ ongoing work in enterprise digital transformation, industry solutions, and the evolving skill landscape. Together with SLIIT faculty members, the session explored how curriculum, exposure, and practical experience can be realigned to better prepare students for future careers.

This partnership marks an important step in strengthening the connection between Sri Lanka’s higher education ecosystem and the technology industry, a relationship that holds incredible potential for long-term national progress.

Celebrating Young Innovators at Robofest 2025

Another highlight of November was Robofest 2025, a showcase of creativity and technical brilliance from SLIIT’s emerging engineers and robotics talent.

Inivos was proud to be part of this inspiring event, with Chamath De Silva (Senior Software Engineer, inivos Technology) joining the judging panel. As he evaluated projects ranging from robotics innovations to engineering solutions, Chamath witnessed first-hand the bold thinking, problem-solving ability, and resilience of the participants.

These young innovators approached real-world challenges with remarkable confidence, transforming theoretical knowledge into practical, impactful concepts. Their passion is a reminder of how much potential lies within Sri Lanka’s youth, and how important it is for industry to support and nurture their growth.

Spotlight Insight: Industry 5.0 - The Next Big Leap

This month, we highlighted a growing global shift: the move from Industry 4.0 to Industry 5.0.
While the fourth industrial revolution focused heavily on automation, smart factories, and interconnected systems, Industry 5.0 reminds us that technology becomes truly powerful when people remain at the center.

Industry 5.0 combines:

  • Human intelligence
  • AI precision
  • Adaptive and sustainable manufacturing ecosystems

It focuses on building environments where humans and machines collaborate, innovate, and support each other, ultimately driving better outcomes, efficiency, and creativity.

This aligns closely with our vision at inivos, where we strive to empower people through meaningful technology.

Beyond Outsourcing: Why Integration Matters More

At inivos, we believe the true value of staff augmentation goes far beyond simply providing people. Traditional outsourcing often leads to isolated teams, short-term focus, and misaligned priorities, outcomes that rarely translate into long-lasting business value. Integration, on the other hand, creates continuity and strategic alignment. By embedding our experts directly into your workflows, sharing ownership of your goals, and staying connected even after delivery, we help build teams that drive real, measurable outcomes.

With an integrated, high-impact approach, your operations don’t just run - they evolve, adapt, and grow. Partner with inivos and experience the difference between outsourcing and true collaboration.

November reaffirmed what we believe at Inivos: progress happens when knowledge is shared, people are empowered, and partnerships are strengthened.

November highlighted the power of partnership and forward momentum. Here’s to a month of growth and many more to come.

Until Next Time…
