Lanka Milk Foods PLC, one of Sri Lanka's most established dairy and beverage groups, has announced its decision to adopt IFS Cloud as its enterprise platform of choice, with Inivos Consulting appointed as its strategic implementation partner to lead the transformation.
The initiative marks a significant step in LMF's digital evolution, as the group moves to modernize its core enterprise systems across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Finance bringing its end-to-end operations onto a single, unified cloud ERP platform.
Incorporated in 1981 and listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange, LMF operates a group of companies engaged in importing, manufacturing, producing, packaging, marketing, and distributing some of Sri Lanka's most recognised dairy and beverage brands. The group's portfolio spans Powdered Milk, Liquid Milk, Agriculture, and Trading segments, with brands including Lakspray, Ambewela, Daily, and My Juice reaching consumers across the country.
A key strategic advantage that LMF enjoys is its complete end-to-end control of its supply chain starting from its highland dairy farms in Nuwara Eliya to its processing and packaging facilities in Welisara and Ambewela, supporting a manufacturing and distribution operation of considerable scale and complexity.
The IFS Cloud implementation is expected to deliver enhanced visibility across LMF's manufacturing operations, strengthen supply chain coordination from farm to shelf, and bring greater control and agility to financial management across the group. With IFS Cloud's embedded Industrial AI capabilities, LMF is positioning itself to make faster, data-driven decisions in an increasingly competitive market.
LMF’s CEO, Sasanka Perera, highlighted the importance of embracing change to support the company’s growth and transformation, encouraging employees and stakeholders to play an active role in the journey ahead.
“Change is sometimes difficult, change is sometimes tough, but change is needed. So, I want you to embrace this change, take it on, and drive it as if it is yours.”
Inivos’ CEO, Asanga Marasinghe, reaffirmed the company’s confidence in the partnership and its commitment to delivering a successful transformation for LMF.
“We are fully confident that, together with the support of the LMF team, we can make this transformation a success. While the journey may be challenging, the results and efficiencies we achieve together will create long-term value for the business.”
The partnership between LMF and Inivos signals a growing momentum in the adoption of IFS Cloud ERP within Sri Lanka's food and beverage manufacturing sector, reinforcing enterprise technology as a critical enabler of operational resilience, supply chain integrity, and sustainable long-term growth.
