Toyota Lanka, a leading player in Sri Lanka’s automotive sector since 1995, has announced its decision to select IFS Cloud for its business transformation journey, marking a major milestone in the company’s long-term strategy.
They have partnered with Inivos Consulting as its strategic implementation partner to modernise its core enterprise systems and drive operational excellence through the adoption of IFS Cloud.
The official project kickoff took place on January 19, 2026, with senior representatives from Toyota Lanka, Inivos, and KPMG Sri Lanka in attendance, marking the formal commencement of the transformation programme.
Toyota Lanka has been a long term user of IFS, having first implemented IFS ERP in 2004. The move to IFS Cloud represents a significant technology progression from its existing IFS Applications 8 platform, enabling a shift towards a fully cloud based, continuously evolving ERP environment.
With operations spanning over 21 locations and a workforce exceeding 1,200 employees, Toyota Lanka continues to expand across multiple business models. The IFS Cloud implementation is expected to enhance enterprise-wide visibility, improve warehouse and inventory management, strengthen supply chain operations, and enable real-time, data-driven decision-making.
Commenting on the initiative, Toyota Lanka Managing Director, Mr. Manohara Athukorala, stated that the organisation sees the IFS Cloud transformation as a strategic milestone in strengthening its digital foundation, enabling scalable growth and operational excellence across its expanding islandwide footprint. As Sri Lanka’s leading automobile company with the largest 3S network encompassing Sales, Service, and Spare Parts, Toyota Lanka continues to invest in advanced digital capabilities to enhance efficiency and customer experience.
Mr. Asanga Marasinghe, Chief Executive Officer of Inivos stated, "Our journey began in 2019 with a small team and today we’ve grown to 180 and engaging in-house consulting and working with IFS solutions to extend and configure them as needed. Toyota holds special significance to me, both personally and professionally, as I was involved in their initial implementation back in 2004. This project is a great responsibility, and I assure you of our commitment to its success. We will work as one team to deliver the expectations and make this a reference site for global enterprises."
The project will be governed by KPMG Sri Lanka through oversight across the implementation lifecycle. KPMG will coordinate and monitor delivery, including project planning, schedule, stakeholder communication, risk and issue management and implementation governance.
The partnership between Toyota Lanka and Inivos is expected to set a new benchmark for cloud ERP adoption in Sri Lanka’s automotive sector, reinforcing the role of modern enterprise technology as a key enabler of sustainable growth, organisational agility, and customer centric operations.
